Tree services that rig the wood down in pieces, prune to the branch collar, and know which trees to save.
About Nashville's Tree Service
Nashville's Tree Service is a tree service serving Nashville and 64 more towns across 12 counties of Middle Tennessee — and we stake our name on how the work goes.
Tree work is the trade with the highest injury rate in the country and the lowest barrier to entry, and the difference between the two is training and insurance. Our crews are insured for what they do, have a certified arborist on the decision, and would rather prune a healthy tree than sell its removal.
What we do
- Rig, do not drop. Wood over a house, a fence or a line comes down on ropes in pieces, which is slower and is the point.
- Prune to the collar. Cuts at the branch collar heal; stubs and flush cuts rot the tree.
- Carry the insurance for tree work. General liability written for arboriculture and workers’ compensation, on file before a climber leaves the ground.
What we will not do
- Top a tree. It is the fastest way to kill it slowly and the surest sign of a crew that does not know trees.
- Sell a removal the tree does not need. A leaning tree is not a dying tree; the arborist looks before the removal is quoted.
- Leave you with the stump as a surprise. Grinding is quoted with the removal, in or out, so the number is the whole number.
What we actually work on
Tree removal and trimming in Nashville.
The tree service problems Middle Tennessee homeowners bring us most often:
- Tree leaning toward the house
- Limbs over the roof
- Storm brought one down
- Dead tree that might fall
- Stumps left in the yard
- Roots lifting the driveway
Who does the work
Every tree crew we run carries liability insurance written for tree work and workers’ compensation, on file with us, and a certified arborist is on staff or on call for the removal decisions.
Beyond the paperwork, the test is how somebody handles the part of a tree service job that does not go to plan — the honest call when the estimate has to change, and whether you hear about it before the work or after. The tree services who stay with us are the ones who have passed that test on jobs we know about.
Why we do not publish reviews yet
No reviews on this site yet: a tree company this new would be borrowing them, and the trade’s reputation is built one careful removal at a time.
Where we work
Tree crews working Nashville also cover Franklin, Brentwood, Murfreesboro, Hendersonville — 65 towns across 12 counties. Each of the main cities has its own page — what its houses mean for tree service, who issues the permits, which neighborhoods are inside the run.
If you want to understand the work before you speak to anyone, our tree service guide covers what drives the price, what your options are and what a badly done job looks like — written so you can judge any tree service in the region, including us.
Who we are
Nashville's Tree Service is owned and run by Michael Blair, and he answers for every word on this site. The pages are written from manufacturer documentation, Tennessee code and the trade’s own practice, and revised when those change; the posts carry his name and their dates. The tree services who do the work are licensed, insured, held to the commitments above, and Nashville's Tree Service stands behind the work.
Check us, or any tree service: a Tennessee contractor’s license is verified at verify.tn.gov, the certificate of insurance is yours to ask for before anyone starts, and the permit office for your town is named on its page.
